Hi mate.

Very good question.

At times it is hard to keep it under control, as when you need to eat something and in a match it is hard, and to be honest it has caused me problems at times. When for example I have been in control of a match but then I lose total control and concentration because of it. Its not an excuse and I havent used it as an excuse during a defeat or such. It's something us diabetics have to deal with, so i just get on with it.

The PDC are aware of it, and have said that if I need to have an injection or food or whatever then i should just let my board official know. It would be more difficult on TV as you have to keep things like snacks or energy drinks backstage, so they can be used at intervals. I have found this part uite difficult as the heat with the large crowds and the lights do drain me quite quickly.

My advice to you would be to keep it under control as best you can. Have drinks and snacks at the ready in case you need them.

Hope this helps, and once again thanks for the question.

Cheers

Jamie
