Hello fellow darters! I thought I would say hello and hopefully get some help with improving my darts and whenever possible I'll do the same for you!
A little bit about myself...
I'm 26 years old and have been practicing/playing darts since I was 14 but only in about the last 3 years have a started to take darts seriously. I usually play with a couple of mates at the local pub every few weeks and have entered a couple of local competitions but practice in my flat using dartpro approx 8-10 hours per week, I like to get at least an hour a day on the board if not more. Currently in 40 legs on a blade 3 board I'm avg. 58.3, scoring wise I'm quite happy with, it's my doubles that occassionally let me down and affect my avg bigtime. I have problems with my stance and throw, I can't seem to find one that I'm happy with, I can throw 180 in 3 darts and then the next 3 darts will score 28. I'm currently using Garry Anderson 24g smooth grip with harrows standard magnetic tops shafts and standard shape flights.
I have experimented with various darts and used to throw 31g, 28g and now thes, I find that the smooth grip is much more suited for myself. I occassionally also practice on a champion choice practice board and find that when I go back to the blade 3 the doubles and trebles appear much bigger but I don't know if playing on the practice board is doing me any good because if I don't hit the target I get frustrated because I know that if it was the standard board I would have hit the target??
Anyways I guess that is enough for now....
If you guys can give me any advice good or bad it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Aiki

Hi Aiki, welcome to the forum.

I also use smooth barrels, Winmau Ted Hankey 21g.

Never used the champion choice board, standard one is hard enough, stick to just one and stop getting frustrated.
