THE DRA have released the following statement following the latest meeting of their Disciplinary Committee.

Darts Regulation Authority Disciplinary Committee Hearing
Monday January 4 2010

The Disciplinary Committee made determinations that:-
Colin Lloyd, at the Nuland Players Championship event in October 2009, failed to mark his game in accordance with the rules of the tournament.
Mr Lloyd was fined £100.

John Part at the Nuland Players Championship event in October 2009 failed to mark his game in accordance with the rules of the tournament.
Mr Part was fined £100.

Ted Hankey at the Grand Slam of Darts, Wolverhampton in November 2009 behaved in a manner likely to bring the game of darts into disrepute.
Mr Hankey was fined £250.

Andy Jenkins. The DRA considered the circumstances of an appeal made by Andy Jenkins relating to the findings of the DRA Disciplinary Hearing on November 26 2009. The appeal is now discontinued.
Mr Jenkins' original 24 month suspension begins on January 4 2010 and will end at midnight on 3rd January 2012.
As 20 months of this ban is suspended the active element of Mr Jenkins' ban will end at midnight on May 3 2010.
The player is eligible to play in any DRA sanctioned tournament from May 4 2010 onwards.
The original fine of £500 is now effective.
Appeal costs of £800 were incurred which are to be paid by the player to the DRA.

Anyone affected by a determination of the DRA Disciplinary Committee has a Right of Appeal in accordance with Rule 6.8 of the DRA Official Rule Book.

All money raised from players' fines is used to support the DRA Drug Testing Programme.

If im honest i would prefer to see all the fine money go to a charity...

But is it good that the DRA are doing this ?? And that players are getting fined for not marking ??

DRA make me laugh

the amount of suspended sentances I read.. maybe for once they should stop a player for 2 years to frighten the life out of the other players..
